Main Project features

Undertook capacity building for mainly system operator engineers in Malawi. The aim was to do knowledge transfer to help the Malawi System operator as they planned to integrate high levels of renewable energy in the country. The main issues were, what are the considerations in this regard and how should they be mitigated against? The main problem areas were system inertia, high RoCoF, system flexibility. Planning and Operational practices and philosophes were devised to help Malawi realise it’s energy master plan implementation before 2030.
